Feeling the Tranquility Within

There is a richness within every human being. There is a possibility to feel peace within every human being - the peace that we were born with and that will be there for as long as we live.

Feeling is the most important thing. What a remarkable change it would be, not to be dependent upon the way things are in life for your happiness. You have something else - another possibility within you.

Imagine you're in a sailboat that's bobbing up and down with the waves. You hate going up and down. So you've tied a long flat board in front of the boat, and you're trying to slap down every wave. Obviously, it's not working, but there you are trying to flatten the waves, thinking that then you'll have a really nice journey in life.

Within you lies a very tranquil ocean. Sail there and you will feel the tranquility. Life should not be about just ideas and thoughts. Life should be about feeling - really feeling the tranquility within. Feel peace from your heart, not just, "I think I feel peaceful." Really feel peace, and be independent of all the outside circumstances for that peace, for that joy. It exists in your heart.

Feeling is real. Thoughts are created. They come and go; they change, disappear, and become totally invalid tomorrow. Feeling doesn't. It stays. Theories are great to read, but don't ever trade them for feeling, because you have to feel, too.

This is about your heart. You cannot fool your heart. You can fool your mind, and the mind can fool you, and it does. But the heart cannot be fooled, and the heart does not fool you.

So the heart has to be the judge, not the mind. A change of priorities has to occur. Simplicity. Feeling. Feel every step that you take. Feel every day that you live. It isn't just that a day comes and goes. It is that in this day you exist. Do you feel that? When that begins to change, understanding comes.

Here's a little story. One day a man was walking down the road, and he saw something shiny. He picked it up, looked at it, and thought, "This is a very sharp piece of glass. I'll toss it aside so that no one gets hurt." A few hours later a jeweler walked by and was also attracted by this shiny thing on the side of the road. He picked it up, examined it, and realized, "I am so fortunate. I've found an incredible diamond."

When you're not ready to admire this life as it is, it's just a piece of glass. You take it and say, "It's nothing," and toss it. But there are those who learn how to recognize. They learn the value of life. They learn the feeling. They learn about understanding.

As human beings, we need to be in peace. People say, "Peace is not possible." To me, where there is a will, there is a way. Maybe the very first step just needs to be acknowledgment, seeing the possibility that life is not a piece of glass, but is, in fact, a diamond.

Life is not a joke. We've been given a very special gift. Maybe seeing that is the first step - a small step, but that's where it begins. Once the first step has been identified, you'll take all the rest of the steps, because what lies at the end is the fulfillment of a lifetime.

Affirmations to Achieve Tranquility

Not too long ago, a business associate told me that you just can’t find some rose colored glasses and wish the world to be a better place. And I answered her that yes; you really have to start somewhere.
 
With this in mind, we have to realize that affirmations are really much more than just wishful thinking. A perennial optimist would cause much more positive changes and transformation to the earth than an eternal pessimist. Most Yoga classes end on a positive note. Some of the methods or techniques a Yoga teacher may use to end a class are, meditation, affirmation, relaxation, or a reading of profound philosophy.

These techniques or methods can be used in combinations with each other or separately, but let us take a closer look at the powers of positive declarations. So what is the intent or purpose of a positive affirmation?
 
Affirmations cause a form of manifestation from the inside. They also create subconscious programming whether they are bad or good. When you create a sincere and honest declaration of intent to change from within, you can actually make a quantum leap forward your dreams and goals in life. Yoga actually teaches us to build and develop a healthy mind and positive affirmations would do just that.

There are several elite and successful politicians, athletes and business people who have used positive affirmations to visualize their desired objectives. With the use of declarations, the physical, spiritual and emotional health and well being are enhanced. Now, why not make sure your declarations are positive? In this way, you would be able to sleep much better at night.
 
The only worst that can happen is you might be accused of wishful thinking and being optimistic. Here are some of the few examples of positive affirmations:
  • “I show love and caring kindness to other people and love always comes back to me.”
  • “I attract nice and caring people into my life.”
  • “I freely give and also receive the bounty of universe without too much effort.”

In every case you’re accepting people, the universe and the world without conditions.

You’re also recognizing and appreciating life for what it is and reinforcing self worth. You can utilize the power of affirmation to enhance physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Affirmations run parallel to Yoga practice in that, they give off and provide a state of tranquility.

Here are some useful guide and hints to practice affirmations effectively. This is a from of mental programming and much similar to practicing mantra, you should repeat your affirmations always. Remember to only focus on positive outcomes to situations, when performing these affirmations. Do not practice it to wish only suffering on other people.

When practicing your affirmation, you should be very specific about it. Experience the emotional positive lift of heartfelt affirmation and your passion would manifest itself. You should mentally be able to feel, see and touch your affirmations. Understand and realize that by practicing these declarations, it must also be followed by progressive action on your part.

Why We Need Tranquility

Tranquility is a state of inner peace that is both emotional and intellectual. This state of inner peace is something that everyone from busy executives to a stay at home parent need in order to live a productive and happy life.

While many people recognize the basic importance of tranquility few people understand the benefits of tranquility and the overall importance of it. Knowing the importance of tranquility in your life will encourage you to achieve this state of inner peace at all times.

Establishing tranquility will help a person manage their daily lives better. With inner peace it is easier to deal with everyday tasks that might otherwise be hard to deal with effectively and efficiently. A state of mental peace will help you make each day productive by cutting down the level of stress that often comes with being unable to properly handle affairs. The ability to handle affairs in an effective manner often comes from the increase of inner strength that comes with a sense of tranquility.

The peace that comes with tranquility will also help individuals overcome anger, nervousness, and fear that is usually part of daily life. Teachers, workers, and even young people can benefit from this mental state. Life becomes a joy when it is no longer tainted by the daily struggle to control and master unattractive and harmful emotions. Individuals that have found inner peace are able to overcome these emotions and develop higher levels of patience that helps them lead a more productive life.

The increased levels of emotional and mental calm will help you feel mentally stable and grounded. You will be able to get more accomplished each day since you will be able to concentrate on your tasks. This ability to concentrate will help improve grades if you are in school or productiveness at work. No longer will you have to worry about your mind wandering. In addition to heightened concentration levels you will also be able to get more sleep when you are no longer plagued by broken sleep that is disturbed by mental exhaustion.

Tranquility will also help you to pursue hobbies and reach for higher goals. With inner peace you will notice that you have more self discipline that helps you process new information at a faster speed than ever before. A heightened level of creativity will also come with your new found tranquility that will help you see old tasks in a brand new light. You will also notice that you enjoy new and old hobbies more than ever before when you are not plagued by anxiety, stress, or restlessness.

Lastly, tranquility will help improve your judgment by keeping your mind clear and stable. Clear judgment will help you avoid getting into bad situations that could lead to personal hardship or loss. This enhanced judgment will make your future seem bright and positive at all times and this peace will help you maintain your physical health by keeping your body strong and able to fight off diseases and germs that might cause disease.
